Please read carefully the following instructions to avoid misunderstandings when sending your abstract.
To submit your abstract you must be registered in the Congress and access the "Restricted
Area" on the main menu on the website, enter your registered email and password and click
on "Abstract Submission".
It is not necessary to make the payment at registration. This can be done after receiving the
notice that your abstract has been approved.
When registering in multidisciplinary events, attendees can also submit abstracts, according to
the rules established for the submission of abstracts.
RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Abstracts should be submitted to the Congress, according to the instructions:
They should be submitted with the registration of at least one of the authors;
They should be edited and submitted online;
We are not responsible for typos and wrong data;
e will not accept abstracts sent via fax, email, mail or any means other than the online submission system of the Congress;
Each participant may submit up to 10 abstracts per registration. You can add up to 10 authors, and one author and 9 co-authors.
The other authors who have registered in the congress should not resubmit the abstract already registered;
Abstracts will be accepted in the following languages: Portuguese and English;
Encore abstracts will be accepted;
Abstracts not completed in the system will not pass the selection and will be automatically deleted;
For each abstract submitted, regardless of category, one (1) single certificate will be issued with the name of the person who presented it and co-author(s). It will not be allowed to add and/or make changes;
Only the abstracts submitted following these rules will be considered;
All approved abstracts will be published in the journal HTCT - Hematology, Transfusion and Cell Therapy with the title Annals HEMO 2020;
The free-theme Evaluation Committee will assess the abstract and select only those that comply with the standards set for this event.
The division of the text must comply with the following order:
º Title – it should be objective and informative, allowing the appreciation of the subject
covered in the abstract;
º Goals – they should clearly state the theoretical justifications and assumptions of the study;
º Material and Methods;
º Results – this session should present relevant results clearly and synthetically, based on the
º Discussion – discussion of results, explaining and supporting findings;
º Conclusion – it should be related to the goals and results;
Note: For case reports, there is no obligation of following the structure of abstract.
º The use of graph, figure, table and references will not be allowed;
º Information regarding grants and funds will not be considered;
º After completing the submission process, it will not be possible to make changes in the
content of abstracts;
º After submission, the Scientific Committee will judge the study and issue its decision of
º The limit number of characters is 3,500 (counting is automatically given by the system and
includes "space", special characters and title).
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DATES AND ABSTRACT ACCEPTANCE
Limit date for abstract submission: Aug. 17, 2020
Date for result of abstracts: Soon
Right after the completion of abstract submission, the corresponding author will receive, in the
mail registered, a notification of receipt;
The abstract approved by the Selection Committee will be presented at the time and duration
established and will be listed in the Official Program of the Congress;
The result of the abstracts selected for oral presentation or e-poster will be subsequently published on the official website of the conference;
The best abstracts in each area will be selected for oral presentation in the module equivalent to respective field;
There will be no deadline extension for the submission of abstracts.
The Selection Committee of abstracts is composed of high contribution members in hematology and hemotherapy in Brazil. Each abstract will be evaluated by three different peers, who give grades ranging from 1 (worst) to 4 (best), considering the following criteria:
º Importance of the study in the Brazilian scientific scenario;
º Originality, contribution to science advance, technical domain of the proposed methods;
º Conflict of interest.

There will be 2 categories for the apresentation of approved abstracts.
- ORAL ONLINE PRESENTATION * only Awarded Abstracts
During the virtual conference, the best studies on key issues of the specialty will be awarded:
- Award in Hematology
- Award in Hemotherapy
- Award in Pediatric Hematology
- Award in Hemostasis
- Award in Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cell Therapy
- Young HEMO Award
The selection committee will select them among the papers accepted for oral presentation, based on technical and scientific criteria.
