Welcome Letter HEMO 2019

Presented as the most significant event in Latin America and the third most significant in the world in the field of hematology, hemotherapy, cell therapy and bone marrow transplantation, HEMO 2019 aims to bring attendees a unique and valuable experience for physicians and health professionals, as well as for patients and their family members presenting the most recent research, promising treatments and the most effective drugs to fight hematological diseases, in addition to the main hemotherapy advances.

Experts from the leading research centers of the United States, Canada, Europe, and Brazil will be invited. The speakers will take part in the congress activities, side activities, such as the clinical research and updating in laboratory hemotherapy course, and multidisciplinary events, addressed to professionals in nursing, dentistry, biomedicine, psychology, among others.

The structure available to receive the attendees is also astonishing. After the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games, the area of Barra da Tijuca, where Riocentro is located, underwent extensive modernization and improvement of local infrastructures, such as local stores and security. For HEMO this year, ABHH has prepared a modern structure in one of the best convention centers in Brazil. It has more than 500 thousand m² and 98 thousand m² of built-up area, four buildings, amphitheater, and a hotel.

Barra da Tijuca has 14,000 * rooms available to accommodate attendees in new and comfortable hotels, as well as options for flats and BnB, among others. Most hotels are located 10 to 20 minutes away from the Convention Center. The neighborhood also has 212 pubs and restaurants for attendees to enjoy the international cuisine of Cidade Maravilhosa, 25 shopping malls, and 13 theater and movie theaters.

See you between the 6th and 9th of November at HEMO 2019!
